Charities We Support

Stripey Stork

Stripey Stork is a local charitable organisation ran by volunteers (all Mums from the Reigate, Redhill and Horley area).

We collect donations of baby items and then recycle clothes, bedding, cots, prams, highchairs and other baby essentials by cleaning and repairing them and making sure they meet safety standards.

We receive requests from health visitors, children’s centres, social workers, GPs and other agencies on behalf of families in need in the Reigate & Banstead Borough. We try and match our stock with what each family needs.

We wish Halliwell Marks every success as they launch in this area, and we are delighted that they have added us to their list of supported charities. We will use donated funds to buy new mattresses for the pre-loved cots and Moses Baskets as part of our ‘Cots for Tots’ scheme. At Stripey Stork we believe it is a basic right that every child has a safe, clean bed to sleep in.

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust provides acute and complex services at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill for a growing population of 535,000 from areas of East Surrey, West Sussex, and South Croydon, including the major towns of Crawley, Horsham, Reigate and Redhill. Outwood Ward, the dedicated Children’s Ward at the hospital, has 22 acute beds, including three oncology cubicles and four beds for adolescents as well as facilities for parents to stay with their child throughout their stay. Halliwell Marks have specifically chosen to support the Children’s Ward within East Surrey Hospital. As a family run and family friendly Estate Agency who have ourselves used the services in Outwood Ward we felt it was only appropriate to include it on our charity list.
